How can i heat up salt dough?
so i'm making a model of the colosseum out of salt dough and i'm it on a foam board. i'm making and heating each layer of the wall seperately, adding a new layer after the bottom one hardens. at first i heated it up in the oven at 170 lowest possible setting and it was fine. the second time i heated it up the foam board started falling apart so i stopped. now i'm heating it up with an hair dryer, but it's not as effective and takes longer. how else can i heat it up? ps i'm heating it up so it can harden if u don't knowI know u shouldn't put a foam board in a oven, but i was hoping the temperature wouldn't been high enough to damage the board. i was planning to keep the oven at 100degrees F, but the oven doesn't go that low. what's a different way for me to get it to harden?

I did it when I was a kid, but I remember it shrunk and cracked and got all crystally after a few months. These need to stay for years if possible. Has anyone tried making different ones and baking them so I don't have to? Please don't just guess if you don't know, this is important.Play dough won't work? I know for a fact it will, I just need the right recipe. And you're probably thinking of polymer clay, but I don't want to buy anything. I need a lot of it for cheap.
