Super Glue only holds until it's bent. It is brittle once it dries, and cracks apart easily. It is therefore NOT recommended for use on shoes. If you're in the US, get Shoe Goo or any of the other Goop brand glues. You can get them at any hardware store. Shoe Goo is often available in the shoe section of a discount department store. These stay very slightly flexible when dry, and never let go. They are great. Read the package directions carefully, of course. These glues can be a bit dangerous if misused. I have never had problems with them, due mainly to following the instructions. For the best hold, don't remove the tread of the shoe soles. Fill the tread with glue so the glue comes to just above the tread, and then apply the carpet skates.

Probably. Just use Gorilla Glue. It has an amazing hold
